Special Hiring Authority

BPA is hiring an Attorney/Advisor (GS-12) to join its Office of General Counsel to advise on matters related to labor and employment, and the Freedom of Information Act. This position is open to individuals with one year of professional (attorney/advisor) experience. Applicants must have a professional law degree and be an active member of a state bar.

Interest & Training announcements require approval from your manager, are for temporary assignments, and do not offer promotional potential. Temporary Promotion announcements are competitive vacancies, require the submission of an application, and may result in a temporary promotion. Bid List

Current BPA employees in a competitive career or career-conditional appointment may apply. Apprentices in the last year of the program are encouraged to submit a bid application to indicate duty locations for which they want to be considered for permanent placement.

Semi-annual rating/ranking is conducted in January and July for the following craft positions:

  • Electrician Foreman I, II, and III (Maintenance and Construction)
  • Lineman Foreman I and III
  • Chief Substation Operator III
