BPA Explores Compact Split-System Heat Pump Water Heaters to Expand Energy Savings

BPA’s Emerging Technologies team is funding an exciting field-testing project, in collaboration with New Buildings Institute (NBI) and Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA), to evaluate the performance of innovative, split-system heat pump water heaters (HPWHs). Find Hidden Savings in Your Pump Systems

Industrial pump systems can drive high energy use, costly repairs, facility downtime, and other operational inefficiencies. BPA’s Energy Smart Industrial program has a new Find Hidden Savings in Your Pump Systems webpage. It features strategies to reduce energy use without sacrificing performance, information on streamlined pump measures, and utility incentives that may be available.

Share this resource with industrial customers that have pumping applications, including cooling tower pumps, process water circulation, and wastewater handling. Pumping systems that rely on throttling valves or bypass controls may also offer opportunities for efficiency improvement.

Visit the webpage and download the free Practical Tips to Improve Your Pump System Efficiency Guide for additional strategies to optimize pump system performance. Energy conservation account executives are available for more information.
